Chilled out, rave track, Be Mine is the product of creative improvisation; combining chopped up breaks samples, a growling bassline, a tasty combo of pads, and a dancing synth line. To top it off, a perfectly-fitting, reversed vocal sample ties the project together, resulting in an ideal afters track.

Artist:

Originally from Northern Ireland, Edinburgh-based Myles Mercer has been into music since day dot. From growing up learning the piano at a young age and ripping tunes off Limewire and YouTube converter back in the day, Mercer’s taste varies massively from hip-hop to rock to more acoustic stuff. Once able to head to nightclubs, his taste in Dance Music really came to the fore, developing a taste for the industry from frequenting venues such as Cab Vol and Sneaky’s.

Myles developed his producing craft while on his year abroad in Italy. Friend, Giac (Nostalgiac / a hip hop / grime producer) showed him the ropes on Logic, from there the then debutant producer was hooked. While the Ross From Friends fan still describes himself as a beginner, his productions have been going from strength to strength, including edits as well as his own sounds. With DJ idols such as Ben UFO, Moxie, Midland and Identified Patient, the Edinburgh-based man had his debut DJ gig last year before being interrupted by the chaos of 2020.

While relatively new to the scene, we are very proud to host this release on the Milkit label and look forward to seeing Mercer’s musical career grow from here.
